I've never really seen myself as being the "creative" type. When I was younger my parents had never really taken pictures of my twin and I doing things that created memories. Around the time when I was turning ten I saved up enough money to go buy myself my very own digital camera. I figured that since my parents had never taken pictures, why don't I take this into my own hands? Like most kids, my imagination was all over the place. I then took my imagination to the back yard and realized I had an eye in the photography world.
Neither of my parents being artistic in any type of way, were still supportive and willing to go to a full extent to make me happy in what I was good at. My parents would and still do encourage me to do things that I love and taking photographs just so happened to be one of those things. Taking this interest to a whole other level, they bought me a computer at Christmas and the first thing I did on that computer was get Photoshop and just about anything else I could find that would be useful in editing my very own pictures.
As soon as I reached High School and saw that I could take photography as a class, I immediately had a smile from cheek to cheek. I loved the feeling of having a class to fall back on, and a class to relax me after having all the other stressful classes on my shoulders. Photography was a place where I could express
Going through photo albums in my home that have pictures from my parents' beautiful wedding to my pictures that I take presently makes me extremely thrilled that my family is so supportive and they want me to succeed in the best ways possible. Sometimes it gets hard juggling sports and other hobbies of mine but that's just the thing that I love about photography, whenever I feel the need to get away and escape from reality I put my mind to work and pick up a camera.
